Eldora Speedway and World 100 Tips Needed

Just putting this out there.

I have long wanted to go to Eldora Speedway. I am seriously considering going (if the money is there of course) to the World 100 at Eldora in September.

My fiancee has really taken a liking to short track racing, especially on dirt. She is interested in going.

Just wondering if there are any tips people could give me for good spots to watch from. I like watching on the turns, and I was wondering if the sight lines were good there.

Also wondering how the camping is there?

Any help would be appreciated.

Go you will have a blast. I have been to multiple world 100's. Just like in road course racing...genral addmission is the best. I always like the hillside seating in turn 4. I personally think thats the best. Get there early in the morning and lay your blanket down on the grass. Tons of camping available. If your camping though you proabably won't get much sleep, the partying in the campgrounds at the world 100 rivals the 12 hours of sebring in terms of craziness. I notice you are a big sports car racing fan, how many big dirt races have you been to?

I have been to a fair number of dirt races and short track races.

I have been to Ohsweken Speedway up here in Canada a few times for Sprint Cars along with seeing the Modifieds and Sportsman classes at places like Merritville, Ransomville and Humberstone. I have also been to Super Dirt Week in Syracuse.

I think the party aspect at Eldora would be very, very fun. Plus, I too thought either Turn 3 or 4 would be very cool. But, it's nice to hear somebody else's opinion.

Thanks for the tips. Sounds good.

yea there are only 2 "must see" dirt races I tell people to go to. They are the Knoxville sprint car nationals, and the world 100. The world 100 is like nothing other. It is the biggest race in dirt late model racing, and the atmosphere is so cool, so many vendors , so many people so much fun. friday nite is great , watch 225+ cars making time trial runs trying to make the 140 car field is a spectacle to see. the best part=no provisionals, if your too slow or wreck in qualifying you don't get to race on saturday! happended to the sports biggest star=scott bloomquist a couple of years ago. the 6 heat races of saturdays are like 6 all star races. 20 lap heat races with stacked grids full of talent in each heat is amazing, a heat at the world 100 is better then any feature at any other show. the campgrounds get really crazy on friday night. I thought for sure girls gone wild was there last year with all of the boobs flying LOL. Oh I forget to tell you eldora has plenty of showers there and since tony stewart bought the place he has really improved the facilitys, nice bathrooms, he put up a scoreborad a couple of years ago(before that you had to guess what lap of a 100 the race was on). I really want to go this year but I don't know wheter to save my money this year for the world 100 or alms at road america...very tough decision.
