10 cars today at Road Atlanta and 2 of those were late ride buyers. Time for Ben Johnston to pack up and go home. Consolidation will only benefit all concerned even Bens pocketbook unless Tonys sisters have that one too.LOL.

Isnt about time for this USF1 to crap or get off the pot. I read rumors where they are chasing Toyota engine money with a Japanese driver.

the atlantic problem is the same as every other series. the economy. as many drivers from atlantic have picked up rides in alms as lights in indy car. the series was fortunate to have had johnson pick up the series. johnsons biggest problems is lack of communication between his toronto office and with vicki. some serious talks need to be done to corridinate talks for the future.

If you know anything about working your way up the motorsports ladder you know that NOBODY makes it on pure skill. You have to spend a substantial amount ($50K to $100K) of your own or somebody elses (usually your family's) money in the early rungs no matter what. You still spend a chunk of money even if you don't pay for the car at the higher levels at least for living and traveling expenses and NOBODY gets their big time chance unless a sponsor with very very deep pockets will pay the bill. No professional team has anybody driving a car unless somebody pays for it. It is too expensive. In short, if there is no family member willing to invest at least some hundreds of thousands (at least) in your career you will never have one because nobody will discover you driving in Demolition Derbys.
Jimmy Vasser had no money, Patrick Carpentier had no money. Memo Gidley is another one. Buddy Rice, another one. All rose from the Atlantic series on talent and attracting sponsorship from their talent.
It does happen, talent can attract the money it takes or the "seat" that it takes....to say it doesn't happen is foolish...
