AMA'll show them furriners how to execute a bike race! Bush league style...
Yep. Once again the world is shown Bush-like style - arrogant and dunderheaded.

DMG has talked about using pace bikes next year. They need to do it now. It seemed like half the field almost barreled into that stupid "safety car." And what was the point of screwing up the show with Tommy Hayden's jump-start penalty? The race he jump started was over. Without aggregate timing, the restart is a new race. If all the risks you took in the first start are negated, the penalties should be, too. What a mess.

I managed to stay awake long enough to outlast the reality-show programs (can't watch that stupidity, ever) and watch the "same-day" coverage of the dmg comedy show.
The start to the big-bike race and subsequent events was an embarrassment to the sport - totally unprofessional. Who's watching the store - ?
Sad days have fallen onto professional roadracing.

this was the first race i had watched since Daytona... the pace car was silly and appeared to be quite dangerous at that track, but, several of the riders have also stated this year that the pace car has worked fairly well... i think the deployment was the problem yesterday.
as far as the Hayden clan going all Hatfield and McCoy on the AMA staff, seems a little redneck to me... Tommy jumped the start, he gets a penalty... the feet stomping by the little league parents has not ever persuaded an official to change their mind.
i think an actual rule book reference would do wonders to clear the situation up.

btw, i am sure glad that Chaz did not win on the Aprilia yesterday... i can not imagine the internet backlash towards the over dog Aprilia.

They never cease to amaze me. Thanks for making us the laughing stock of road racing in front of an international crowd!
