Fox Broadcast - any problems?

Maybe it was a downlink problem here in Palm Springs with the local Fox affiliate, but the broadcast here had a Max Headroom quality of jerky motion and indifferent sound throughout. Was it OK for other areas?

Fox's quality was good here in Houston it was about 3-5 seconds ahead of the online MotoGP feed I was also watching. Turned out great for replays and skipping the long commercial breaks.

Saw it on CableOne HD in eastern AZ - picture quality and sharpness was good, and the camera set-up was good too, especially action down through the Corkscrew.

Neat tankslapper for Lorenzo, eh - grin -- ???

No problem here other than the number and length of commercials. Oh, and the never ending array of on screen graphics pimping a variety of Fox programs. Better than nothing I guess.

No problem here in SoCal. Except for the usual amount of commercials and length of. I even enjoyed the commentary.

Today was the maiden voyage of my laptop+motogp.com internet stream+hi def TV experiment. And let me say, IT WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS!! Fellow fans, this is the only way to fly. Commercial free and with the regular announcers on a big screen. Crystal clear picture. I feel very good about all my expensive, new tech toys now. grin

The only thing good about it was that I enjoyed the race in HD, thanks to a huge antenna I put up that picks up almost 40 local stations free.

The short broadcast, commercial breaks...etc. All sucked of course.

This was the first time I watched on TV while also watching the MotoGP.com video on my laptop. It drove home just how excreble the domestic coverage with abundant commercial breaks and annoying stretched-out lead-in segments really is. Think I'm going to go Joe's route with a connection from my laptop to the big-screen TV and the hi-res video subscription.

I felt like I missed a lot of the race with the amount of commercials that were on. Not to mention they joined the race just before the lights went out and didn't mention the grid order, which would be confusing for new viewers they were trying to attract.
