Sorry, ND. If the revolution ever does come, I'll be on the front line with my pitchfork.

Should be an interesting future, I always thought 4-strokes were more eco-friendly than the 2-strokes, and that was the reason why 2-strokes are falling off.
Going back to 500cc 2-strokes would be pretty interesting, however I feel that since the 250cc's are being replaced by 600cc 4-strokes, that outcome becomes less likely.

we shall see. but if the 500s were to come back in all their fire breathing glory, as a race fan, i'd be over the moon. it'd be interesting to see which of the current riders could handle something that nasty too. we know rossi can, but who else?...

All the front runners.
Yup, they all cut their milk teeth on two-strokes.

probably, but i think coping with the tire wear and the powerband would be a bit of an interesting curveball...

I don't think any of the current fast guys, Stoner, Rossi, Pedrosa or Lorenzo, would have any problems. As Marshallbanana said, they came up on 2 strokes, and they are all unbelievably gifted riders.

no, that was ridenm, i was the one who wondered if they could handle it.
i just wonder if they would manage the transition all that comfortably. a lot of 250 riders did have issues coping with the tire wear and backing it into corners when necessary. that was why lawson, rainey, schwantz and doohan did all that butt-kicking...
