on the speed pre race show Mr. Spencer shows his total lack of of brain function to his mouth. saying E jr. needs to win daytona to save nascar, well saving them is a bit too late as they followed the same path the failed auto co.s did and now te big factory dollars are gone. nascrap has stuck with the same outdated formula for years. bought any new car or truck with a carburator in the last 2 decades, no? well nascrap thinks that is fine, but Jimmy thinks Jr. can save the sport?

Save NASCAR? lol! NASCAR doesnt need saving. They are the most successful sanctioning body in Motorsports. Although support from the Big 3 is nice, its not the end of the sport. NASCAR has raced without them before and thrived and can do it now. NASCAR is here to stay. Dont kid yourself.

amazing what flies out of his mouth, considering he hasn't much more than just a brain stem to keep his system alive.

nascar could "save itself" by merely getting rid of all of these pre/post race shows that have all of these dregs on the air.

it was far more mature and intelligent back in the moonshine era.

I think outdated technology is an issue, the rest of the world is thinking green. modern F I systems would make about the same hp while being tuneable to give better fuel consumption. I don't say economy type consumption. then at least the world might look at nascar as being on board with conservation. it would also likely put a end to the contenders running out of fuel at the end of races.

Fuel mileage is relative. They could run out at the finish getting 15 MPG as much as they could getting 5. Tires notwithstanding, if someone thinks they have a shot at the win by gambling on fuel it'll still happen. The IndyCar Series uses fuel injection and they still have races that come down to fuel mileage, just ask Danica

Yes, Jr running better would help. However, we are still stuck will a car that doesn't resemble anything stock, and worse yet, just flat doesn't race..

this isn't ALMS, it's a NASCAR SHOW... how will obsoleting about 1,000 carburators, worth millions of dollars, to force the already cash-strapped owners to put in millions of dollars worth of electronics / injection that won't change the show not 1 Iota??? not to mention that it would have to be some standardized NASCAR issued unit to prevent cheating...

SO???
