We saw Kahne run for the 1st time in a Toyota tonight in NNS, he got a 5th and tied his best of 5th and scored his 2nd top 5 in 14 races at DIS.
Great Clips back for 3 years; Kahne, Leffler to split ride: Braun Racing announced that marketing partner of three years, Great Clips, Inc., will return for another three seasons to sponsor the #38 Toyota in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Jason Leffler will pilot the #38 Great Clips Camry for 27 of the 35 scheduled races while Kasey Kahne, a familiar face in the Great Clips firesuit, will drive the #38 in the remaining eight races. Leffler will complete the balance of a full series schedule by running Braun Racing's #10 entry, thereby having the opportunity to run for the 2010 championship(Braun Racing PR)(7-3-2009)
After reading that I have to wonder if RPM runs Toyota's next year if RPM might be working on a deal to put Leffler in some Cup races, or provide support to Braun racing or even Braun racing giving support to RPM..Just seems like an odd deal right now with all the talks about RPM changing MFG in 2010..Im sure Dodge is not very pleased with this deal.

I'm pretty sure Dodge is all but done, and I am not too sure about their status beyond NASCAR to be honest.

The strange thing about it is that his firesuit said Dodge on it.

I kind of feel bad for Leffler - he's done pretty well in NW, and then to get kicked to the curb (or another car) for 8 races isn't really fair.

Something I have noticed this season.
Remember last fall and winter there was talk about Gillette going to Toyota? OK, the next time that commercial comes on that has the GPS that goes "Turn left" all the time, pay close attention to the car. It's actually a Camry! Look closely at the c-pillar and back window. It's not the Charger window at all. Then look closely at the nose of the car. The Camry's has a certain shape to it that is different than the Chargers. It's a Camry nose! Now, I assume maybe when the commercial was filmed Gillette thought he was going to Toyota, or it's all CGI and they either just picked a car and slapped Charger decals on it, or it was originally a Camry and then edited to Charger. I don't know for sure, but that car IS a Camry in the ad.
I just think this is kinda strange that's all.
