This reminds me of an old Willie Nelson song entitled "One In a Row"

I was surprised too. I thought they would have had to chase him down before he got to his motorhome to get an interview but they didn't. Keep up the normal driver behavior Kyle.

Did you notice though he almost went down pit road before the last lap was actually over. That would have been priceless!

After the Coke Zero 400 I had never been so disgusted in my life. Thousands of fans cheered as Kyle walked away from a totaled race car. And at this forum and the NASCAR.com forum I read countless comments about people happy to see Kyle get wrecked. Guys I know Kyle isn't the most popular driver but don't be happy when a guy wrecks like that. If it had been one of your favorite drivers taking those hits I don't think many of you would have liked to see that. So please just try to respect all the drivers even if you don't like them because to see anyone wreck like Kyle did is very frightening for the driver and for their team and family to have to watch.

Coming to the checkered flag, Busch knew he was going to get passed, it's just the nature of racing at Talledega and Daytona.......So, I mean he has a few options and they are.....
A. Block the car trying to pass you for the lead and potentially cause a wreck with you and the 2nd place car, and the pack of cars also racing to the finish line.........
B. Accept the fact that your racing at Daytona and Talledega and your going to get passed for the win,and avoid possibly causing a major wreck....Your pride might be hurt, but at least your not going to get hurt, and possibly finish somewhere in the top 5.
C. Let Jeremy mayfield syubstitute drive for you...........
Look, Nascar is not going to remove the banking from these tracks, if you want a 2 and a half mile track where the cars follow each other around, you have it, twice a year at Pocono......... There not going to remove the plates from the cars, those cars will go flying 50 feeet in the air if there nudged in the corner at Daytona and Talledega without the plates......... The element here is the driver, period. There are some thing that can not be contoled, such as the incident where the #99 flew into the fence.........The drivers need to take some responsiblity and sence when it comes to blocking............
As far as people cheering, well, it's over 100,000 people, fans will cheer and boo.....Pull for the good guy and turn against the bad guy.Sure they were booing, but 99% of the people outthere don't want to see anybody het hurt; The booing is just the nature of seeing the bad guy lose and lose bad.......

It was the last lap of the race and no one would back down for the win. Like Mike Joy says, "Its Checkers or Wreckers."

I have been to many races. The cheering you hear is because he exited his car under his own power. The fans are happy that he is O.K.
