They'll all get their shot, but if we let them in 25 at a time we're going to end up with NASCAR Hall of Famer Geoff Bodine

No one said put them in 25 at a time. They said put these 25 in now. Then after that, go 5 at a time.

Ask the 25 nominees listed and I think to a man they'd all say that all 25 deserve to be in the hall. Unfortunately, it'll be 5 and somehow it'll be assumed they're the most deserving, and that's a tough argument to make against the other 20.
The organizers of the Hall have made an error in selecting this method. On the other hand, if all 25 are inducted together, the induction ceremony might take a couple of days and might detract from the significance of the moment.

In going over the list and I did several times I could not find one to throw out.. this hall of fame is way past due so it's a good start to include them all and hold it to just two or three a year after that... say not more than 3 drivers and one owner unless the owner is an owner driver than there could be 4 drivers.. this would keep things kewl... and it would MEAN something to be there.. as it should

I really felt that they could have inducted more people this year, with it being the inaugural year for the HOF. That was what the Int'l Motorsports HOF did in 1990. A bunch of racing legends were inducted. Five just seems to small a number for the first year.

As long as Brian France is never on the list... wonder what he pays himself as head fred of Nascar. Surely he thinks he worth 10x what any driver garners.... after all we go to the track just to see him screw up our races.

I can understand not putting all in on first ballot. I would like to see all on the list eventually in the HoF as well as Chris Economaki and Ken Squier. Here is my first ballot:

1. Bill France Sr. Founder, nuff said.
2. Richard Petty The King, first 7 time champ
3. Red Byron First champ
4. Jr. Johnson A top driver and later a top owner.
5. Ned Jarrett Really the only broadcaster on the ballot.
