Put All 25 Nominees In the Hall of Fame

Why doesn’t NASCAR do the right thing and just put all 25 nominees in on the first ballot? I think it’s a disservice to make any of them wait another year. Each of the 25 nominees have all sacrificed achieved so much for this sport, and all of them deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments by being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. To say that any one of the 25 nominees should get in over another is flat outlandish and misguided.

The problem is if you throw all 25 in at once, then you're not going to have any worthy nominees for quite a while.

well i made my votes...

Dale Earnhardt, Becuase he was the one of a kind driver that did anything to win, and is currently the only driver to have matched pettys record of 7 championships.

Bill France Sr. , Well there wouldnt even be a nascar without this guy he deserves to be in the first class

Red Byron, Becuase he was the first ever nascar champion

Junior Johnson, because without him nascar wouldnt be about wins...

Richard Petty, The undisputed King of nascar PERIOD!!!!

yeah and Chris Economaki or Ken Squier were left out They never directly work for or competed but they sure as heck had a major impact on the sport and it's growth.

As much as I'd like to see Smokey in the HoF I can't help but wonder if his grudge with Bill France will keep him out.

Maybe not all 25, but I definitely think the Inaugural class should be 10 or 15. Its pretty much impossible to narrow it down to 5 for the Inaugural class. Here would be my 10, and IMO its a great 10 to start. Go 5 at a time from here on, but the first class should be 10.

Bill France Sr
Bill France Jr
Lee Petty
Richard Petty
Dale Earnhardt
Junior Johnson
Red Byron
David Pearson
Glen Wood
Fireball Roberts

I don't think anyone argues that these 25 don't all deserve to be in, but I think the above list is a very special 10 that are above and beyond the rest.

While Smokey should be there, he gave Sr heartburn and probably took a couple years off his life by bamboozling him. Just the fact Jr poopooed his soft wall in '90 shows their disdain for a genuine genius. I'm sure it has a name, but so be it.

IMO

The mainstay after the beginning, those who gave their health to make it possible in an impossible schedule

Lee Petty
Junor Johnson
Richard Petty
Sr
Curtis Turner
Red Byron

next year's 6+
Those who perpetuated the game and starte reaping the rewards of factory support

David Pearson
Cale Yarborough
Fonty Flock
Smokey Yunick
Fireball Roberts
Glen Wood/Harry Hyde

The next 6
The one's who this generation knows to a degree, and those who did well on what others built

Benny Parsons
BF Jr
Dale E
Alan Kulwicki
Darrel Waltrip
Bobby Allison

Whoever said they would lack "worthy nominees" should they take all 25 (and they won't, but they should) has got to be kidding.

btw....I was a bit surprised there was no mention of anything, team or builder, related to Holman-Moody.
