I see it as a spec series with different stickers on the cars. I see it as a soap opera - Junior this, Kyle that. I see the racing taking a backseat to alot of other things. I see the viewership numbers being down. I see that I am not alone in my thoughts on the subject.

NASCAR today has alot of rainshortened events. Maybe NASCAR should start the races earlier like at the Daytona 500. It was dark by the halfway point. Back in 2004 the race ended in broad daylight. If the race started earlier the fans would have seen 200 laps of racing.
It does occaionaly rain in the daytime.

My point is that they keep starting later and later so the rainshortened race in 2009 could have been avoided.

NASCAR is good for NASCAR fans, only a small minority of which are also racing fans.

I sorry, I'm not from the south, or have a mullet, and I think there is other forms of racing, so my opinion is way out in space and will never be heard by people who have a brain! F Nascar!

So people would have to be brainless to listen to you. I appreciate your honesty.

People ask me all the time, where does he stack up, comparatively?  I’ve seen every great driver drive, I’ve seen every great driver win their championships.  In my mind, this driver, this crew chief, this team is the all time best - bar none.  I saw Petty, I saw Earnhardt, I’ve seen Gordon, I’ve seen Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte, this is the best.”- DW on Jimmie Johnson

From the first automobile race until today there have been and always will be fuel stragety races. The only way to prevent this is to eliminate refueling stops. Of course then it will be fuel economy races.

Or change it all and only have green flag gas stops. Then you can only see how it plays out in the last 10% of the race.
