At this point, everyone should just ignore him. The WSMC has signed off on the deal, the rules have been confirmed, and the entry list has been published. What can he possibly do now (except make himself look even more of an idiot than he already is)?

I agree this is just stupid and if the FOTA thinks that all is well Then I think the are surely mistaken. I think in the long run a split would be good. It might be bad for 5 to 6 years and then when it gets so bad one of the sides dies or gives in the winning side will come out stronger and better. I wish this split happened.

As romantic as the idea of F1 splitting seems, IRL/CART will always say otherwise.

About all he can do is to renege on his promise to step down in October. As I said in another thread, all the teams need to do is make it crystal clear that their signing up through 2012 is contingent on Max standing down in October. If he's elected again in October, the teams then have well over a year to prepare for a breakaway series in 2011, and the added evidence of Max' blatant failure to live up to his commitments just makes it that much more certain that the teams would prevail in any lawsuit.

Just imagine what he's going to do till October... I really admire him how he manipulates with opponents, but it wouldn't be possible if they are little bit smarter...
