Speed is, temporarily halting the Nascar chats, both the Truck series, and the Raceday chats. So, we are looking for help in continuing in an unofficial status. We are also looking to gauge interests in chats for other events, like the 24 hrs of Le Mans, the Petit Le mans, etc.

We can't do anything for endurance/sports car racing without input from you guys!

I pushed for a 24 Hours of Le Mans chat, but I started that pushing a little to late. I am currently pushing for a chat during the Petit Le Mans.

So, any/all input is appreciated!

There's already a great place to chat for endurance fans and the participants are...shall we say...more knowledgeable...than here on the SPEED boards. Not forming any opinion, just stating a fact.

I think it's a great idea, but I know I'll be working that day...

I like the idea of SPEED chats, but the web interface turns me off.

I tried the SPEED chats but the lag was quite long and I was censored a couple of times for things that would fly in the forums without a problem. (offered as constructive)

I wouldn't mind helping out, especially with the proposed time limit, but truthfully I'm not very computer savvy

Well, things didn't quite turn out like we would have liked for the 1st one(no fault of any of the members who joined us) so there will be another one and it has already been posted on the Speed Chat section, I hope you will join Us!

Just an update for those that missed yesterdays chat:

We are still looking for people willing to step up and help out.

We have discussed having a racing chat open for the entire weekend. If we do this we will post a schedule on the boards(possibly in this sticky) as to the schedule for the weekend. The chat will be in an 'Open' status when there is on track activity, and interest to chat about it. (ex: Practice, Qualifying, and the Race)

This weekends chat is going to be a little different, because of all the stuff that is supposed to go on with the boards..
