I record all the shows on Speed no problem.

Maybe but not on DVD you don't.

I am with a small town broadcasting cable company, but had the problem too when trying to dvr Saturday's INDYCAR race. Had to stay up until midnight ... and get up again in the morning for F1, as I did not trust that it would tape, which it did smile
Never heard of copy protection to dvr ... if that will start, I need to come up with another way to record it and I this was the only reason I had SPEED.

I think that the problem is the dvd recorder. With a dvr or tivo, you can't easily transfer the recording to something else and share it with others that don't have Speed.

As I promised earlier in this thread here are my experiences with the Grex:

I took delivery of my Grex this afternoon by registered mail and fifteen minutes after opening the package I was recording Speed TV onto DVD+RW with my Magnavox ZV450MW8A. Playback of the DVD I recorded with the Grex is identical to those I made before Speed TV infected their signal with digital broadcast protection flags.

Visit the Grex web site to learn all about it. After using the device myself I can recommend it to you without reservation.

The score as it stands today: Freedom Fighter revels in TOTAL VICTORY! Speed TV grovels in humiliating defeat.

You obviously haven't read the whole thread otherwise you wouldn't embarrass yourself by making such statements. And I never suggested sharing a recording with anyone.

One last question, are you able to go back and edit out parts of the recording? Or I guess that part might be handled by the DVD recorder. I know it was on mine.

The DVD+RW discs I record while using the Grex are identical to any other disc I have ever recorded so the answer to your question is yes I can edit them.

Ok recently ive not been able to record ANY races, ever since the Analog or whatever that major switch was back in early summer.

I wanna know why is it preventing me to record races, Petit Le Mans is coming up and i REALLY need to record it because ill be gone for 2 weeks.. so WTF SPEED???? is this your stupid FOX owners causing this?

Someone help? i wanna know if im the only one that is having this problem, if it makes a difference i have Mediacom as our cable provider.

Because now i cant watch any races that im gone for.. and knowing speed they NEVER show replays (unless its Nascar of course)
