Speed gets a big pat on the back for getting Geoff Brabham on the phone in the final hour. Great chat and great info of how David was chasing the '93 Peugeot ride when they called Geoff out of the blue!

I think Dempsey's team did a decent job, and they obviously
finished well, in terms of the final standings. But there's taking care of the car and taking care of the car. Risi took car of their equipment, but they also set and maintained a much faster pace than Team Seattle, who finished dozens of laps down from the class leader. Dempsey did spin in front of an Audi during the warmup and that could have been disastrous. Fortunately, it wasn't. I think they need to do more racing in these GT cars before they can get to Krohn's level. They're more powerful and faster than the Grand Am cars, and the prototypes they're avoiding/racing with are much faster than the DPs. It's a different type of racing. But they certainly deserve some credit for a clean, respectable drive. Thanks in part to the economy, there were many rookies in the race this year, and a lot of them didn't come close to finishing.

I could only watch the start and finish broadcasts and a bit of the night racing this weekend, but I DVR'd all 18 hours. Just finished watching what I missed...thanks to SPEED for covering the race so well, making the most of the horrible World Feed coverage.
I think Audi may have been able to at least CATCH the Pugs if they had that trick radiator screen like the Pugs have. Having to go "into the box" every 3-4 hours to clean out the radiators/intercooler really killed their chances. That, and all of the offs...I was beginning to wonder if this was the same Audi team that dominated the rest of the decade!
That said, it was good to see Brabs win it. I'm with David Hobbs...can't get over the irony of the last two Peugeot wins coming with a Brabham in the driver lineup.

Yhe pattern is still there. Take the first two or even three years to learn the race so you can win the third of fourth. It began with Ford, continued with Audi, and now continues with Peugeot.

Made me wonder if there really was a 'Joe' who 'happened' to email the booth asking about him...

It would take a while for the phone connection to be made, probably more than a few minutes unless they already had a number.
But no respnose as to what Geoff's doing now, however.

The problem I have with your reasoning or view on the his performance is that YOU simply cannot come to grips with the facts. Your hearing me but your not LISTENING.
I'm missin' sumpin here... You post once in a thread, and you state: "Your hearing me but your not LISTENING."
Since your post no one has even responded to it. I question your ability to reason...
'Twas great coverage. I was hopin' for a heck of a battle twixt Audi and Peugeot...shame it never materialized.
