Thank God, Tanner Foust said there is no comparsion between the Infiniti G35 and the Nissan GTR. Also I would like to say anyone would thinks the Infiniti G35 is a skyline, it is not. People have read the magazines wrong and I want to point it out straight, it meant to say that the infiniti G35 body gave ideas for the Nissan GTR(Repeat 2x). Also people please take of those GTR logos off your Infiniti G35s, mustangs(Mustang GTR does exist-Note: I know what it looks like-don't even try), and other people who have them to be cool. Unless you have a GTR in the name of the car you a smart person. Have the GTR logo on a car that is not a GTR named car you will be laughed at. Also wiki-pedia is wrong.

Actually, the G series WAS supposed to be the replacement for the R34 (i.e. the R35), but Nissan's sales numbers dropped and they shelved the idea, instead making the G-series one of luxury. Once Ghosn brought the company back from the brink, he mandated a from scratch GT-R design...so you're right AND wrong. Nissan did in fact name the G-35 the Skyline. Research is your friend...

In japan its the nissan skyline 350gt or v36. But technically its not a skyline. They wanted to make a new skyline. However, its not a skyline-because of the mistake of making crap scratch and the sales are horrible and they stop making it-thats why there are only a few that are made. so techniclly R35 skyline started only with nissan only from prince motor company from the beginning and is the new addition of the skyline just not the skyline name and they never had the infiniti name thats why they wanted to change the name to "Nissan GTR" to make up for the mistake since of the V36 to Infiniti G35 change. the nissan V36 in 2007 all they did was change the logos which made the infiniti G35 and I never saw a infiniti g35 with skyline by logos, but really I saw dumb people putting GTR R34 logos from the internet ebay logos on a G35s ever since the new infiniti-then nissan (name changed) GTR was introduced.Besides Infiniti G goes back to the 1991 era so infiniti G35s are the v36s in 2007 and is when the V36 skyline came out which was the mistake.

probably did not know that the nissan 350z came out around that era with the same engine as the g35 in 2003 and so on-at least I am on a roll-besides I can't get any sleep because of my neighbors near a my apartment dorm. good thing right now at 3:30am they are silent. I was totally ignorant of the 350Z (or it that the Fairlady?). Thanks for telling me about this. So even though the NA named Infiniti G35 was named by the manufacturer as a Skyline (they even put that very moniker on the rear of the car), you've decided that it isn't one? You can cry, complain and deride it all you want but that does not change the fact that the G35 WAS named and badged as a Skyline in it's domestic market. That you never saw one does not change that fact.

You probably didn't know this but GT-R34s were based on the previous Nissan chassis as were the R33s and R32s. I drove one in a video game once or twice AND slept in a Holiday Inn Express last nite.

p.s. If you look at the name plastered over the back of the black G35 sedan in your first post you will see name "S K Y L I N E" clear as day...and while it may be a JDM upgrade it is still correct for a JDM car.

V36 skyline was the mistake-DUH.....V35 was not the skyline name on it, the V36 was.You probably did not know the R32 had a fuel pressure leak problems sometimes; I could go on and on. The R33s soon really changed the problem with the fuel leak problem. When your tired at 3:30am in the morning, the grammar and slight spell mistakes occur; also no spell mistakes just capitalization and punctuation errors. Also really man grow up and face you are confused like everyone else. I was at first years ago and I figured it out if you challenge me I dare you. Really, should we go back and forth. Right or wrong man-arguements never get any thing right; I never wanted to have the last words and I know the research. The V36 is a mistake, but really the V35 is not a skyline; the (V36 IS)!!!So really people should take off those skyline logos and GTR logos off those V35s. Really some people call the V35 a skyline, it is confused with the V36; so never was the V35 a skyline. Also the G37 had the infiniti badge(it was not labeled with skyline logos). Last of words, some dumb citizens think they can get really away with it by buying skyline and nissan logos. unless they have the full specs of 350gt or V6, nissan, and skyline logos it on the car and also included a left-driver seat, it can be declared a skyline name(even though it was a mistake). Those JDM tuners or should I call ricers, think the can win a autosalon for by having a GTR logo, get real-besides no nissan badges because they want to confuse people? Also JDM stands for Japan Domestic Market, which means japan specifications.

the V35 and V36 are very much skylines. the GT-R has always been a special edition based on, but not the same as, a skyline. in a similar way to the M3 being based on the 3 series bmw.

the skyline dates back to the prince company in the 1950s, and has always been a personal luxury car (either sedan or coupe). the GT-R was the tweaked racing special, which prior to the 1989 R32 version, had only existed for a short period as a homologation special.

the V35 and V36 are the true skylines, in intent and format. the GT-R, by now becoming a separate car, is no longer a skyline, but is a better car for it...

I AM NOT WRONG...You are just confused, all I said was that the Infiniti G35 or Nissan (V35) is not a skyline; besides they will never have sold a skyline in the US; except the NISSAN GTR. Besides your calling the Infiniti G35 (V35) a skyline and your replying that the Infiniti G35 is a skyline which it is not; get it through your thick wise-smart head. Also your not calling the V36 an existence of reality, and I want you to look up the Nissan Skyline 250gt, because you don't know a thing on mentioning the V36 since I typed it; yeah some nissan skyline V35 250gts will come up; some are labeled wrong. YEAH-THATS WHY PEOPLE PUT GTR LOGOS AND NISSAN LOGOS, AND SKYLINE LOGOS ON THERE G35s-25OGTs with a right seat driver are the skyline-even though its not not a skyline because real tuners like me hate the fact its not turbocharged. GET IT NOW!!!!!!! SO YES YOUR RIGHT-IT JUST THE FACT THAT YOU CONFUSED IT WITH THE V35 or G35 as a Skyline and not the V36.
