Doornbos had an electrical fire on the formation lap so didn't actually start the race.

Marco was running 3rd & got spun out by Liuzzi trying to pass him, Monaco was taken out in the same crash.

Too bad, Marco was running well. Hopefully the confusion with Ireland's cancelled penalty won't cause an F-1 type mess after the race now. Great job finishing second after the earlier penalty too. If I'm reading the points correctly, it's now just a 3-pt lead for team Ireland.

Quite the crashfest that was, on what seems to be a very nice racetrack.

We saw Marco make the mistake of wobbling wide just before the incident, which was the start of the trouble with Liuzzi. Toughest gig was for Clivio though.

The first drive thru for Ireland's alleged jump start was totally bogus, especially as USA's was far clearer & they were not penalised.

Irelands 2nd penalty which is under review, totally ruined Portugals chance of 2nd. The stewards called a driver thru, team Portugal told Filipe who was just ahead of Adam, not to fight as Ireland had another drive thru, so to avoid potential contact he didn't fight to keep the car behind him.. So then the freakin stewards retract the penalty but the damage to Portugals potential 2nd place was already done.. WTF. Unimpressed.

I guess now we wait on the enquiry decision of the 2nd peno before confirmantion of the feature results..

OK amended feature race result. Team Ireland lose 2nd place after incurring a 25 sec peno for a restart infringment with Team Aus.

This elevates Filipe (Team Portugal) back up to 2nd place (yaaay) & puts Team Malaysia in 3rd. Team Ireland drop to 5th.

The implications now means that Team Switzerland takes the title lead by 2 points on paper over Ireland as we go on to Brands next month, although Ireland leads overall if the new dropped scores rule, brought in after the late arrival of some cars at the start of the season is accounted.

That seemed like a pretty exciting race, what a shame there was a "satelitte" problem.
