Amen JagBro!! At least I can say I saw some memorable races on Speed before it turned into reality central! Just like I remember seeing actual music videos on MTV back in the day!!

Also people complain about Wrecked because it features semis, and they have no relation to racing.... What do you think carries the race cars from track to track? Semis.
Passenger jets carry the Mets to the west coast to play the Dodgers, but you don't see the MLB Network airing shows on the Boeing factory.
Sheesh, Fisha, that could be the lamest defense I've seen yet.

Perhaps Speed should take that as a warning. Just a few days ago, MTV announced that they were going to start showing videos again. No, don't get your hopes up, it's only in a six-hour block (3am-9am), but they're going to be experimenting with showing music again. They're also bringing back Unplugged which I happened to enjoy. There's a short article by Brian Stelter in the New York Times from March 29th which states that MTV has essentially become irrelevant as viewers turn to other sources to find what they can no longer find on MTV. Will this be Speed TV in the future? I feel the stories parallel each other.

There's an all to direct implication here. MTV's viewers abandoned the channel; Speed's hardcore viewers, the racing fans, will do the same. But if that's what it takes to restore sanity to Speed, so be it.
Let's just hope Speed's management see the point made in MTV's return to music and act on it. Except that this is still Fox we're talking about here, I'd have hope.

I construct a TV goodie viewing guide for another forum, here's some stuff I think you'll be interested in on Sunday (times are eastern):
Sunday : April 12, 2009 (Easter)
10:30A-11:00am The Grid - Ep 3 (R) (Speed)
11:00A-12:00pm AMA Pro Prime Time - Road Atlanta (R) (Speed)
8:00P-9:00pm MotoGP 250 - Qatar (N) (Speed)
10:00P-11:00pm MotoGP - Qatar (N) (Speed)
Try The Grid, it's a review of international racing series. I've heard really good things about it!

I miss WRC, I miss VS supercars, I miss A1GP, I miss DTM etc. etc. etc. - "speedvision" used to cover racing? now SPEED - with the exception of F1 seems to have cut it's coverage of every kind of racing - boogity boogity... enough all ready... too much of a not very good thing... where is the racing SPEED? or should I say FOX? your channel used to be the greatest and now it is just another reality TV crap and stand in line to kiss Nascar's butt channel, WHERE DID THE RACING GO?!?

I feel your pain. This question has been asked over and over again with no satisfactory answer.

So i'm not sure what pain you say you have! But if you'll wait just a minute then i'll show you what real pain is like(THAT NICE RIGHT UPERCUT, AND LEFT HOOK)!! Or as my 3rd grade teacher used to say: Sit down, shut up and read!!

Meet HDTheater, currently a better source of racing than Speed's been in a long time, not since they found how much easy money could be made off of NASCRAP, faux reality shows, and more NASCRAP.
With the exception of coverage of DTM and BTCC coming in December, the only reason for hanging onto Speed is F1, ALMS and World Challenge.
