Interesting! No matter how fast our reaction time or how fast we really go, we should control it. Say NO MORE for speeding tickets. LOL

Those are shorty dragsters with bodies but hey, looks like you're having fun so more power to ya.

One thing though, stopping just short of the street after doing a burnout in your driveway at home might give some a less than professional impression.

Yeah right, our chassis is a 10.1E (funny car) and NOT a 25.1 (dragster) in fact it was the last rear engine funny car built (1998) I had it custom built at a reputable chassis shop, it was never a dragster, it was never modified.
The body is a different story, rather than butcher it, to move the windshield in front of the cage, I took a page out of the 1970's Nitro funny car "the Phoenix" and only opened up the blower opening, and preserved its resale, when I get a brand new 1969 Corvair FC body, it (the windshield) will cover the rollcage, and look more conventional.
On the car getting close to the road, I let it roll out a bit to make it look more exciting, I'm on a dead end street, only a couple houses. I am friends with Rod (AHRA owner) and he didn't have a problem with it. But, I appreciate the concern, I too have seen some awful things happen, when playing with high powered toys......

Here is a pic of the Phoenix rear engine funny car, before it was restored, it has survived intact since 1972, it was renamed "High Jinx" and is green now.

Aren't there like three AHDRAs now?? That track owner from Wash. state has used the orig. logo for a buncha years, and I think that PIR-guy (PghIntRaceway), the originator) still owns the (some of the?) rights...
