We’re combining a ‘work event’ with a ‘race weekend’ :D in Vegas. We’re gettin to town early to take in the race.

But the rental car companies...WOW! I understand supply and demand.  Our best deal was to rent a Focus for 2 days at $82 (plus 27.75% in taxes)..and THEN to rent another car for about $127 total for the rest of the week.

Of course, if we wanted to rent one car for the week, it was over $500.  Then again...it was about $340 LAST week (for the week).

I guess we’re coming out about even.  We didn’t even consider the dual rental strategy until they went all “Bernie Madoff” on us.

Apparently a “fair price” is whatever you can get.  Maybe I’m just turned-off by the “America gone Greedy” mentality of a lot of companies/people lately. 

At least the casino/hotels are hard-up enough for business that they’re GIVING deal.  So I suppose it all equals out for us.

Still...why not just have a “price”?
