Why doesnt speed channel show any rally racing? I have been very frustrated this past couple of years with no coverage.

Rally driving is by far the most skilled and exciting form of auto racing on Earth. PLEASE GET SOME OF THIS ON MY TV

and bump those rating grabbing pinks and wrecked marathons off the air?

I'll agree with both of the posters...

I like pinks, and wrecked is ok sometimes (and only when the old man does any towing, because he auctually knows what he's doing), but both of those shows need to go, just like Unique Whips, and I just saw and ad for "pimp my ride"...

Who does Speed channel thinks watches this junk? I'll tell you who, people who don't watch speed, and rather spend time watching MTV and VH1.

It's quite simple. WRC costs lots of money. Reality shows-not so much.

Well thats true, but come on...I'm sure that the BBC has coverage of it when it rolls through, why can't they have a deal where they share some of the cash, and they do the leg work.

Actually, the BBC does not cover WRC..... ITV does the British coverage.

It's the ISC that the rights have to be purchased from, and they had been charging an outragous amount for it. Not sure if they still are.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.

I hate Speed for dropping rally coverage too, but these days WRC is hardly worth watching. Ford vs Citroen! How exciting! I wish they still covered rally from this country. Canada got some decent coverage of their rallies on TSN.

I always found the Rally coverage boring. Too many in-car camera angles. It is interesting to see how the drivers spin the wheel, but that was mostly all they, the producers, had to work with.

I suppose it's cost prohibitive to station 30 cameras along a time trial section so we viewers can follow an event as if we were standing on a hillside, watching the brilliance race past.

Back when Speed was showing WRC - and it probably didn't cost so much to do it - It was worth the viewer's time. Now, I'm not so sure.

Then it was Subaru versus Citroen versus Peugeot versus Ford. And withs such drivers as Alistair McRae, Petter Solburg, and others.

How bout rally america? It may not be quite as important as WRC but hey, its the same kind of racing and i'd love to watch it. I'm sure it'd cost a ton less, plus its in america. Which means the americans automatically care more for some reason. But there ya go.
