Mercedes-Benz has now emerged as the most likely engine supplier should a buyer for the team currently known as Honda be found.

I guess beggars can't be choosers. Make a deal with Mercedes, Mr Bruan and get on with the team's program. It will properly be a better motor to work with anyway.

Norbert Haug of Merc said:
"If there is a feasible solution with an investor for that team, we would be prepared to discuss it," Haug told autosport.com. "But the financial background needs to be there.
"You cannot give any presents at this time and in this (financial) climate, but we would like to help for the sake of Formula One. Ross Brawn and Nick Fry and their guys have done a good job so far, so if we could be in a position to help we certainly could try to do so.
"But the financial feasibility is very important. It needs to be 100 per cent bulletproof."
It's up to the former Honda team to get some financial backing that Merc can believe in before Haug's going to consider supplying engines to them.
Brawn and company are not in a situation where they can choose which engines they'd like.

Its a moot point of speculation without a buyer.

Ferrari was expecting Ross Brawn to come back to them after his year break but he decided to join Honda instead. I'm sure its due to this that Ferrari doesn't want to supply them with engines. Good thing Mclaren sees this as a must-do thing to better F1.

At this stage of the game, McLaren and Ferrari shouldn't supply anyone. The competition will be so close, i could see Sutil winning a race.

I could see Ferrari "paying Ross back" for going his own way. The "F" in F1 does stand for Ferrari, after all.
