SPEEDtv.com's ace Indycar reporter learns Penske has three drivers on the line to replace Castroneves, and 3 other teams are set to sign drivers.

I dont understand why Sebastien Bourdais is giving up on F1 so easly. If he still wants to race in F1, he needs to stay in Europe and race over there. He rather go racing in the IndyCar Series, than DTM, WTCC, and the Le Mans Series Europe? idk...

As for the #3 Penske seat. I would like to see Justin Wilson get it. If Wilson or Hunter-Reay dont get that seat, then it's going to be Romain Dumas for shore. But I would also like to see Darren Manning in that seat.

I wonder if Penske would consider a third car and sign both Wilson and Ryan Hunter Ray also if NHL runs a third car and with Phillipe does that mean we are close to actually having to qualify for a race instead of just show up

WOW!!!! This is almost to good to be true! I Would love to see what Sebas can do to the Indycar regulars. He was unstopable in Champ Car and never got a good chance in F1. And Sorry to see Helio go, but you don't mess with Uncle Sam. I vote for Ryan b/c he is American, but I actually think Justin is better better driver. Doornbos is one of those drivers that can win in anything, and he has a funny personality. As for "Team France" that family must be loaded, but they are wasteing their money. I was at LBGP for Nelson's first race (his long flowy hair look good in the So Cal sun'LOL) and thought he has improved dramaticly since then, but to be out of a ride for two years (I think) is a long time in open wheel. So, this should be good news for Indy, and a breath of fresh air. All we need now is the news that Paul Tracy is back, and then we can resume the Bourdais vs. Tracy slugfest.

Yet again, Penske shows that it doesn't matter who you are, how popular you are, or how good you are, there are Standards that must be met, and the team comes first. Too bad we'll never see what Greg Moore (RIP) would have done in a Penske car.

Wouldn't mind seeing Seabass come back, and take on the whole field. With a unified series, there is no place for the marginal drivers and ride buyers.

"Team France"? I personally find it funny how a lot of people automatically have a problem with anything French, but still... doesn't it sound like an ideal WWE...er...I mean NASCAR storyline? As in not-so-loosely adapted from Talladega Nights...

Nelson drove junk while he paid all the bills for Tagliani with Gentilozzi at Rocketsports, so it would be good to see him catch a break. I wonder who the Philippes will bring in to run their operation. Larry Curry would be a in interesting pic.

I AGREE. All this will make the series much better to watch, PT or not. NO MORE MAD DOG!!!

Not withstanding any contractual issues surrounding Sebas, Penske should've gone for him to replace Helio rather than the three drivers listed in the article.

Great news for the most part, except for Moraes at KV (although that's better than Moraes in a Coyne car and only 1 KV car). Car count is starting to look pretty good if this all pans out.

Even though they're European, the IRL should have no trouble marketing Doornbos, SeaBass or the Fablous Philippe Brothers.
