Leaked from the MSMA meeting held today in Japan, indicate that Kawasaki are reconsidering their decision to withdraw from the MotoGP series in 2009.

Turning the team over to Spanish ownership, Spanish sponsors, and Spanish riders would be a step in the wrong direction for the appeal of MotoGP outside of Europe. I hope Hopkins can stay in MotoGP.

I don't blame Kaw for dropping out, they have no chance to win with their under powered, poor chassis and could be spending the money in venues with better return such as AMA, and WSBK

Acquiring Spanish leadership and riders would give Kawasaki a better chance of winning. In turn, the team would stay alive in a depressed economy. Although I was really looking forward to seeing John Hopkins race in '09 I didn't have high expectations for him ecause of the team's poor track record. I agree with all of the fans that believe Kawasaki's money is best spent in AMA & WSBK.

Poor Melandri! Last year was one to forget and I'm sure he, aswell as all his fans were expecting a turn for the better in '09. Doesn't it cost Kawasaki about 20 million euro to run a season anyway?
