Ford seems to be hyping the crap out of the new Mustang, which if intro'ed now can hardly be a 2010 model. What I have seen of it is nice, but nothing earth shattering. I like the current and new Mustang and expect that the good sales numbers will continue.

Not always the fastest, but it's the only "pony car" (Camaro, Barracuda, Firebird, etc.) to have been in continuous production since the sixties. Unlike the Fusion/Taurus family, Mustang has genuine racing DNA in its design, not just a sticker on a COT!

Is Speed airing the show at 1 pm as it says in the picture or 11 pm as it says in the story. You'd think they'd get that right!

Not to be the spoiler but the pics are already out. If you go to topgear.com/us you can see it.

Well the "reveal" was a lot of hoopla but not much substance from my perspective. Nice car, good upgrade options, etc., etc. I came away from the reveal with the impression that Ford is terrified that the new Mustang won't sell in volume due to the economic meltdown so they got a bunch of old Mustang race cars together to convince people they should buy the new Mustang.
I think the new Mustang can stand on it's own merits. Seeing as though the U.S. economy is in a full blown recession and probably only months away from a true depression, Ford's fear of lost sales for the new F-150 and Mustang could materialise.
It's looking more and more like the Fools on the Hill have no clue that we have been in a recession for 14 months and that we are sliding into a depression. If any of the Big Three go under, we will all suffer unimaginable economic pain while the fools on the Hill point the finger of blame at anyone but themselves.
