Ryan Hunter-Reay, Will Power, Oriol Servia and Justin Wilson are all unsure of where they'll be in 2009.

Bad time for coming back together economically speaking. I hope Wilson, Servia, Power, and RHR well return - if not it's going to be a boring year.

Indy car racing's problem is that the product is just not that good. It is presented poorly on television, and marketed poorly. I think the teams rely on TG too much. Why don't the drivers market themselves, like Dale Jr. in NASCAR? He is always on TV

Because they don't have the appeal to the public Dale Jr. does, which is why he's ALWAYS in high demand.

And just keeping it to IndyCar, it's the same reason why I can tune into ESPN News or Sportscenter at night and catch a Danica commerical, yet I see nothing from Dixon, Wheldon, Castroneves, Briscoe and Kanaan.

Loosing Australia was bad because now you have two good drivers out of work because they lost a good sponsor and a good race. Also that TV package with Versus it's horrible.
I don't know what the IRL is thinking about. I agree the IRL is marketed poorly

The poor marketing is at one thing that they've learned from the CART era. AOW has never marketed their series or drivers properly. Having said that though, it's not my money but I think they could raise the profile of AOW.

Losing Australia just plain sucks. It may have cost the teams and the Irl money but what's that old saw "you have to spend money to make money"

If the IRL and Champ Car didn't come together when they did, then both of the series would be gone!! Neither one would be able to survive on it's own.

Yes, too bad about Junior always being on TV. To make that much fuss over a person who is at best a journeyman driver is pretty #### sad.
