Yo Miller,
Just like Obama's campaign, "We must change." Where are the ideas? Dissing Australia really blows! Portland, please! That track is a glorified drag strip with return road, just like Vineland, NJ's road course in the '60s, where we did SCCA regionals. Road America and Cleveland, coupled with ALMS, are where we should be. Your thoughts? AND, where is your "Mailbag"?

It seems that everyone wanted to make absolutely clear that they weren't trying to "take control" in any shape or form. It was probably a good thing that they all aired their concerns, which seemed to be consistent, and Tony was there to hear them first hand. I just hope they were as forth coming as they might have been, if the boss wasn't there.

Same old lack of vision from Tony George as he puts development and expansion of the series on hold until 2011...us fans want concrete changes NOW, not 3 yrs. from now...less downforce, more horsepower and bring back passing!
+ no more ISC tracks, period!

It's typical off-season stuff, a lot of talk, not much action, which I'm afraid the Mailbag will be like, which may explain it's non-appearance recently!

thachairman, how could Miller's mailbag be anything other than talk? Robin is a jounalist with no authority in the league. It sounds like the meeting was productive. Take a break (a long one) from the negativity.

I've held out hope for the IRL for a long time, but it's getting tough. I understand a development freeze saves money, but development has already been quasi-frozen for a long time, and it's only benefited three teams. By the time the new formula is introduced in 2011 the series will be out of business at this rate. No one likes this car or this engine, and yet here we are telling everyone they have to keep running both for another two seasons.
By the way, the Mailbag came out yesterday if you hadn't noticed.
