After watching Alan McNish's drive back to the front in one stint from two laps down, I would like to propose a new verb, to "
McNish".
mcnish (v): To drive a race car as though possesed.
Etymology: >Alan McNish, who crashed his R10 prior to the race and started the race two laps down due to needed repairs.
Example: "Alan McNish
mcnished his way to the lead of the 2008 Petit Le Mans in his first 2 1/2 hour stint.
Was he possesed or was the beast that he drove possesed?
who cares
That was a combination of determination, skill, and teamwork.
Signature:
“Be excellent to each other.”
His pass for the lead was the first time I ever yelled out loud at the TV during a sportscar race. Just amazing.
