Page 72 of this week's "Cycle News". I get it online and don't want to cut and paste the article, as I'm sure that would be an uncool thing to do. Henny Ray Abrams brings us all up to date on the progress of class structures (none), class rules (none), and sponsorship opportunities (none). He does mention that the dyno is gone.

Awesome article.

Let's give it a try. I know when I got the online subscription, I had to download a bit of software to view.

I just read it, too.

I do the same thing - skip to the end and read the opinion pieces first. I thought they just released a schedule a few days ago. Strange, he make no mention of that.

I still like getting the paper because them I actually flip through every page. Even though by that time it's two weeks old.

Abrams talked about the schedule being released at the Laguna Seca finale. That schedule isn't solid. Letters of intent from the track managers don't mean a thing.

Interesting article. I get the sense that 2009 will exactly resemble 2008 in terms of classes and rules. Sounds like they're simply running out of time to try anything revolutionary.

What they were planning was more de-evolutionary that revolutionary.

Whoever called the MIC;s plan a bluff appears to be right on.And it appears to have worked.Either that or the OEM's have no plan on racing next year and are just stringing Edmondson along to make him look like the fool he is.

The big problem the DMG has is that they want to make the rules favor Buell and the other two cylender manufctures that race in the Moto St series.Since these bikes can not compete against the 1000 4s the DMG made up the Daytona Superbike class so they could compete against 600 4s.They put the HP limit in this class because without it the Moto ST bikes were even getting beaten by the FX 600s bikes. When the Japanese factories refused to race with a HP limit the DMG was forced to make up new rules that will make the Moto ST bikes competative and that is going to be diffacult.
