Yes - both Edwards championships were on twins for Honda, but my mind went blank and I can't remember the model...

Thrash 1, when did Honda build a V-twin that beat Ducati at their own game? I have never heard of a competitive Honda V-twin Superbike. Did I miss out on something?

Yamaha Italia employes a small percentage of the people Ducati do, and they don't get the crossover help from MotoGP. Yamaha are limited in their interactions with the team.

Jeeeez...are you talking about the same Yamaha Motor Italia which have the HQ next door to HQ Fiat Yamaha Motogp at Gerno di Lesmo in Italy ?!?!

WSB really comes down to either Ducati or Honda Not many others Win championships only Susuki 1 year and Kawi 1 Year. If you look at the bike makes Duc has had a displacement advantange for some time, I can't recall when the displacement rules changed though.

Maybe Ben Spies can give Yamaha their first World SuperBike championship it will be tough in his first year but stranger things have happened in racing.Yamaha has never done well in Superbike racing their only AMA Superbike title was in 1991 with Thomas Stevens and Haga is the only rider to come close to win a WSBK title for them.Yamaha might have made a mistake in signing Tom Sykes for next year i noticed he is only 8th fastest in practice today in the last round of BSB racing.

Colin Edwards WSBK championship was aboard a Honda V-twin. RVT1000R or sometimes refered to as the RC51. The RC30 and RC45 were V-4's that evolved into the V-twin RC51.
