As far as Puig's comments, a good point was made on another forum that may help to explain why Puig feels it is so important to point to Hayden and make him look like the bad guy of the garage, the one who wronged poor little Dani: the president of Honda was at Indy to witness their star being booed when introduced. That may not sit well.

i have to believe that the president of Honda is smart enough to take those boos for what they were...
i still do not see how that interview was so inflammatory... the questions were asked... Puig answered them...
if he had been talking about any other rider, most everyone on this BBS would be praising someone who spoke their mind honestly and did not tow the company line...

You should preface the last sentence with 'in my opinion'.
Riders are a PR tool, you don't want them booed, generally speaking.Puig is not beloved member of the paddock, outside of Pedrosa's garage. Most people aren't openly disliked.
A Spanish poster on another forum said Puig is viewed as tool there, too.

Why wouldn't you be concerned what the biggest bike market in the world things about your team and riders??? Do you honestly believe NH being part of the Honda team didn't help their sales in the states? Do you actually think that Ducati dealers were not salibating at the fact that NH is going to be part of their marketing plans for next year??

Very funny...
1.Honda always have given preference to Pedrosa
2.Hayden is champion while Pedrosa can't battle with the frontrunners
3.Hayden can't copy DPs setup even if he wanted as they are completely
different in style and size
4.The guy blames Hayden while Nicky has been totally professional
All i can say is Nicky must be so happy now that he won't need to be near
this guy and his little kid...

it is very possible that nicky's improvements since dani went on the stones could be attributed to the simple fact that it is now nicky who gets the best michelins.
