Hmmm, quite illuminating....

Yeah, interesting that Hayden was 'stealing' Pedrosa's telemetry to help his riding before the wall went up, and that his results have greatly improved since it did. Puig is a jackass, but it's pretty clear that he's a jackass that doesn't like Hayden.

Everyone in paddock thinks Pedrosa is odd, or everyone that speaks on the topic. As Dovi said, Dani doesn't associate with the other riders - so it isn't just Hayden saying that as Puig implies.

He certainly has a hate-on for Hayden.

I am still not clear on what his role is on the team. If anything, it seems to me he brings a poisonous attitude, which can't possibly help the team.

Puig says he's a Honda man yet doesn't want his team to win. Only Pedrosa. I wonder how long Honda will keep him around.

Is he actually employed by Honda?

after reading that i must say... i just do not see the big deal...

too many people want to apply the traditional team sports view to teams in racing... it has never been like that and it never will be...

1 person gets to win... if they are smart, a rider will surround themselves with the people that see to it that everything possible that can be done to reach that goal is being done... to that end, Puig is a great manager...

Everyone gets an opinion, LJB. As far as I am concerned the team should work together for the betterment of the team, especially if they are struggling - and Honda has struggled, more or less, since Rossi left.

What a tool! If Dani was the only rider that wanted to keep working with Michelin this season then why is he the only rider to switch mid season?

As far as Hayden holding a grudge since Portugal I couldn't say that I blame him. If Hayden had crashed into Pedro at the beginning of this year when he was leading in points I am sure it would have been an even bigger stink and Puig would be at the center stirring it up!

Puig makes it sound like the data collected is the property of the rider, in my view it is Honda's data and if they want it shared with other riders that is their perogative. I am sure it wasn't a one way street either, I bet any data collected by Hayden when he swithced to the pneumatic valve engine was given to Dani.

I hope Dovi outperforms Pedro and then we will see what Puig has to say when he and his rider are the #2 squad.

how could LTD and pedro work together for the betterment of the team?

what is better for the team, medicore results or wins?

there is no common set up... two different riders can have two wildly different set ups to achieve the same lap times... set ups that if switched, neither could ride... does the GP paddock have two teammates that are more opposed in riding style and physical size than those two?

i just look towards the Fiat garage... big wall... no communication mandated between the teams as far as set-up... no working for the betterment of each... some pretty good results going on there on both sides...

personally, i thin kthe main reason for LTD's recent surge is the fact that that wall went up... i bet when that wall went up and corresponding wall fell down in his head and HE picked it up... proves to me yet again that the rider is the one most responsible for their own results...
