Does beat sitting at home. Like to see what he could do in an RCR, RFYR, Gibbs, Hendrick car and seat time. If he stays in the 00 for the rest of the year I'd like to see it replace the 84 in the top 35. With Dinger in the 00 and Skinner/Speed in the 84 I don't think it would take much for that to happen. In fact I can see the 84 dropping out of the top 35 all on it's own.

Skinner replaces AJA because AJA wasn't getting it done in the qualifying area. Now, AJA is replacing McDowell because he missed 1 race.
I am sure this doesn't exactly give McDowell a very warm and fuzzy feeling about his prospects at MWR. However, MWR is still committed to him...I guess.

Good to see AJ land another ride so quickly. Shows that he has gained some respect for his ability. Also, I think MWR is a team on the rise and putting AJ with a veteran crew chief like Sospenzo could really work well.

Mikey sure does want those top 35 points to potentially sell off. However, the 00 lost a few more points this week to Robby.
Only problem is that NASCAR has not made it clear if teams will be allowed to do it.

Given the performance of the #7 and the #77 as of late, I doubt that would happen.

Car Points
33rd - 66 2383
34th - 84 2345
35th - 7 2324
36th - 00 2285
37th - 77 2147
It quite possible that the 00 and 84 could swap, it's only 60 points. Carl easily tore that from folks hands yesterday. It's only 236 difference between 33rd and 37th. While that number of points may be hard to make up in the top 10 it's not that many when you think about the competition in the back.

236 is quite a few points. That is finishing 13 positions ahead of your competition for the remaining 6 races. And when you average finish is 30th (Hornish), that doesn't bode well for you.

It'd be funny to see AJ knock the 84 out of the top 35

Nothing against Skinner, but I'd love to see AJ be in the 00 the rest the year and knock the 84 right out of the top 35. Mikey's made a lot good choices as an owner lately, and this is another good one. Go get em' AJ!
