I feel awful now; lived in Georgia my whole life and i've never been to Road Atlanta. need to get out there for the Petit next year.
Why wait until next year? I see your screaming firebird logo I bet you'd love the SVRA season finale in two weeks!
SVRA Season Finale
Also NASA-SE will be running there Dec 5-6-7. Look for the black Corvette with 07 on the side and come by and say hi!

The link is right under my last post. It is greyed out though.
GAndretti glad to hear you had such a good time. Next year we will all have to get together! Or perhaps at Sebring in March. See the new Acura P1 battle Audi and Peugeot.
I went solo to Atlanta as nobody (I knew) was interested. I'd wanted to go for a few years and this year was right (for me). I'd love to go to Sebring, but that is a bit far for one race. If I can convince my wife to go to Fla during that time, I'm there.
Yes, we'll have to get together somewhere.
P.S. As crazy as it got it was pretty tame compared to F1 @ Watkins Glen or Indy. Indy was always coercing the females to "show'em". Never seemed to be a lack of female participation. Must be that southern "gentlemanly" thing.

It is much more than just one race. The Friday races are entertaining and people come from all over the world for the whole experience. The weather here in March is way better than many places further north, so include that in your presentation to your wife and or friends. There is also a lot to do and see along the way that may help your case.
Except for the totally different track and landscape, I have no idea how Petit and Sebring compare, but plan on making the trip up to Georgia for next years race.
