Does anyone think its possible they will reverse the decision on this? Jimmie Johnson said he is going to go talk to Mike Helton himself, because it was asked in the Drivers Meeting and it was explicitly stated that what Regan did was legal on the last lap. Supposedly there are numerous teams/drivers in the NASCAR hauler protesting NASCAR's decision. If the pressure gets strong enough, I have to wonder if they will reverse the decision. If teams that have no vested interest in the decision either way are going and protesting, then I think that says something.
I really don't think we've heard the last of this...
I have never seen them change the outcome of a race ..the guy in victory lane is the winner... except in one truck race where they made on jerk who thought he was the winner so the real winner could get in...

I hope this "win" will help Regan attract some sponsorship for next season. He did a great job.

This sucks but Tony Stewart was the winner of the race. End of story. Complain all you want to that Regan should have won but he didn't. He wont get the points, money and the trophy and that is just how it is. NASCAR made the call that they thought was right and we have to live by that. If you don't like it just don't watch anymore but if you think NASCAR cares you are wrong.
Like i keep saying, the Soviets might have won the gold medal in 1972 but anyone with half brain knows they didn't win that game. Based on the rules today anyone with a clue knows that Stewart did not win the race.

This is truly one of the worst calls they've made in a long time, and there is undoubtedly tons of supporting evidence for the legitimacy of Regan Smith's win. If NASCAR had any integrity they'd acknowledge that they messed up big time, and award the win to Smith. This isn't going to go away.
Na$car never change the winner.. sometimes they fine you so heavy you think you lost but never never never change the winner after a victory lane celebration.

You notice how pretty much everyone on here is saying that Regan won except for the Stewart fans.

Yeah but how fair would that be to Stewart, who finally "won" after finishing second so many times. How can you let the guy celebrate in victory lane, and then strip him of the win?
I feel Regan Smith did win, but it is too late now.
Ask A J Foyt how that works after his teams IRL "win" at Texas a few years ago.

Yep, good job Regan. The real fans know who the real winner was.
btw, if I was a (smart) Stewart fan I'd take a few days off from the messageboard til it all blows over.
