I have better things to do than continue to watch what I saw today. Regan Smith won the race but as with all other NASCAR rules they are up to their discretion.

Stewart forced him down by cutting him off after he was already inside him. Like Smith said he should have dumped him, took out the field and cashed the check.

Why a track like Talladega is in the chase let alone in NASCAR at all is beyond me. This is my farewell I am done with NASCAR and their rules as they want to make them up for the good of the sport philosophy.

NASCAR truly is nothing more than WWE. inconsistencies

I think you speak for alot of people, myself included. Nascar has ruined this sport with all of their wishy-washy rules & inforcement of them. It was not too long ao that Mr. It is amazing just how quick they take differant positions on the same subject, as of just last night in the truck race we heard that the yellow line was in-bounds on the Last Lap, but today nope, out of bounds.

Regan Smith won the race by all the rules Nascrap has had up until 30 minutes ago. He may not be a top fan favorite, one of the Gillette Young Guns, not one of the Poster Boys, but he still crossed the finish line first & that is how the winner has been determned up until now!

Regan Smith had every opportunity to go to the high side and make a legal pass. But nope he stuck his nose in the one place where he knew Smoke
would throw the block. Regan smith should have faked low and went high. An if passing below the yellow line is legal on the last lap. Then it's legal on every lap.

It is legal on the last lap according to Nascrap, or it was until today. He is what Nascrap said when they allowed Benson to pass under the Yellow line & awarded him the win:

This from NASCAR Craftsman Truck 07 Daytona race:

OUT OF BOUNDS: Drivers throughout the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage were still talking about last week's three-wide finish at Daytona International Speedway.
While they admitted the finish was good for television, most wondered why NASCAR allowed Johnny Benson to drive below the yellow line - Daytona's out of bounds line - to jump from third to second in the final 200 yards.
Benson wasn't penalized because "if you can see the checkered flag on the last lap, anything goes," according to NASCAR spokesman Owen Kearns.

Now, whats the differance today?????????????????????

Apparently you guys didn't see Regan try to go up high and get blocked forcing him to go below him.

I believe they changed that rule to allow corner bump drafting in the COT...

Considering that he probably lost 100+ points in the championship today, he has already given himself a pretty huge penalty.

I've been watching Nascar for over 30 years, but have scaled back my viewing in the last few due to the way Nascar seems to want to manipulate the races. I decided to watch today and lo and behold what did I see, perhaps the worst case of manipulation so far. It's going to be a long while before I decide to watch this mess of a racing series again unless drastic changes are made.
