I like the consistency and stability of the schedule, but it's too bad they couldn't have added a couple more races. I'm not complaining though by any stretch. One disappointing thing is that the race at Road America is on sunday, rather than saturday night. It was fun to see the cars race into the sunset so maybe that can be changed. All in all, it should be another solid year for the series.
btw PenskeRacing: Go Milwaukee! Beat Philly! (we're finished though)

I found this interesting..
Non-championship Asia Le Mans Series Opportunities
November 1 (Sun.) Mt. Fuji, Japan
November 8 (Sun) Shanghai, China November 1
Now that's cool. We have Japanese manufacturers in ALMS and even at the 24 Hours but from my own knowledge there's no Le Mans series in Asia. Asia needs a Le Mans series with strong backing from the Japanese manufacturers then maybe we'll have three fronts for the Le Mans series instead of just two.

There is a rumour that the Mosport round will be 6 hours.
I'm not certain that will happen as Belle Isle is the following week, but it is an interesting rumour.

To bad they can't share Toronto with the IRL on July 12th or partner with the IRL for a race in Portland in early May. Those would be great races.
I know that the ALMS already races at Mosport but another Canadian race couldn't hurt.

Two races in basically the same city within two months?

Mosport over Toronto any day. These cars are magic on fast road courses...I hope they never add more street races.

Absolutely. These cars are made to go fast. St. Pete and LB are bad enough. Belle Isle should not even be.
From the article, the ALMS Prez should be thanking one Tony George as well. If not for turning AOWR into a mess, driving fans like myself away, ALMS might not be as popular as it is.

The big negative is that the NASCAR Nationwide weekend, which usually has Grand Am as part of the program, has been moved to the same weekend as Mosport. Additionally it's moved from it's Saturday date to Sunday and there is also no Sprint Cup race that weekend meaning a lot of the top drivers may be in attendance. I know the racing is completely different but having two major events only a few hours driving apart will likely hurt the spectator count. Can't believe Canadian racing officials allowed both events to take place on the same weekend.
