Yeah, McNish might have jumped a little early, but the drive he made to take and keep the lead was just amazing. I for one will never forget that drive.

Not to belittle the two laps down to win accomplishment, but wasn't McNish's last restart just a bit, well a bit too good? He was on in the middle of the turn 10a/10b complex, about half a mile from start/finish.

23.5.4 The car that is then immediately behind the Safety Car prior to the restart must maintain the speed of the Safety Car until the green flag is displayed, and where in use IMSA’s Yellow Condition System lights will be extinguished, at which time acceleration and racing may begin. Any manipulation of this pace will be considered an infraction of these rules.

Ahh, I wasn't watching the track lights, just know there is no way to see the flag stand from 10b.

Isn't that really the infraction? He held up the field, so that he could hammer it out of 10B and not pass the pace car until it entered the pits. Everyone does that though, in all series. So I'm not complaining. Great job by McNish and awesome race. Definitely going next year.
