Rizla Suzuki wild card Ben Spies backed up his impressive qualifying performance in the dry with another eye-catching ride in Sunday's Red Bull Indianapolis GP

Please, can we do without a carnival barker for a television announcer? I thought I had stumbled upon a Billy Mays infomercial. Give 'Ol Yeller a tranquilizer and bring in Drebber.

Get rid of Sheheen and bring back Dreb. Or find someone who can pronounce the names correctly.

Sheheen is MUCh better in AMA broadcasts. Not sure what he was trying to do today...

Shaheen's screaming was downright painful! Add that to the poor camera work that gave me a headache and whiplash combined, this was not a particularly pleasant race to watch on TV.

This was such a lackluster coverage that it did not have the excitement an inaugrual event should have. The announcers must have been on some type of downers and for being on a major network, first time viewer are probably wondering why anyone would watch

The European announcers are the best! They KNOW what's going on & how to pronounce the names of the riders. The US mike jockeys are truly lackluster. Even when covering AMA road races. They should watch & listen to the FIM & MOTOGP announcers & learn!

I agree with the other posts here. I was at the race, and had to listen to Greg White flub the names at the track, (Diffey was much better) and then when I got home and watched the network broadcast, listening to Shaheen just butcher the names really bothered me. Don't they work at SPEED? Don't they watch the MotoGP broadcasts, and listen to the european announcers pronounce the names? Jeez, they could've done a bit more prep work for such a HUGE event. Maybe Shaheen would have worked better with his "normal" AMA partner Freddie Spencer. Schwantz is always too bland on TV, no disrespect to his accomplishments. Whatever, they either need to use the world feed, which is part of the reason why I got hooked on MotoGp in the first place, or find a way to inject a bit more enthusiasm to the broadcast. I still don't know how they could get "Lorensho" out of the spelling of "Lorenzo".....

All motorcycle announcers should listen and learn the Speed's F-1 team. They are far and away the best with only Machett getting a little crazy now and again. The Euro of MotoGP and WSBK are poor becaue they never shut up and because they are Australian they creme in their pants over Stoner or Bayless. I just wish I could cut out the chatter and hear only the bikes engines. Why do they think there can never be a moment without their yapping?

Caprirossi "wants changes soon",.. scuse me?,...maybe he needs to just ride the bike harder! if a "novice" motogp rider such as Spies can come in and run so much better,. Loris needs to ride the bike not his mouth!
