Sorry, the post above was caught in the Speed Fourm Time Warp. RUMOR is the scientists will be investigating when they are done with the Big Bang Machine in Switzerland.

all i want to know is which series will have real racing. i could really give a #### if the racing is on a 600 or 1000, superbike, superstock, or supersport, i just want to see close racing action throughout the race, similar to what is seen in world supersport. i am tired of the glorified parades that have been the ama sbk races the last few years. that is what needs fixing. if the mic series is going to continue with the same rules as the 08 season, i don't see a reason to tune in.

The motorcycle series with the closest racing in this country is dirt track.

I meant roadracing. I want every race to look like the Assen Supersport race. That had me glued to the set for 20-odd laps. Every roadracing series should strive for racing that close and exciting.

The MIC really needs to step up with some creative ideas and money in order to fill the stands and get advertisers. I don't know how much effort they are going to put into filling the field or ensuring close racing. Their website doesn't even work, and they could have thrown one of those together in an hour...

No series in the history of motorcycle racing has ever had EVERY race close. There some runaways, some close battles. That's just the way its always been.

F^%^&*& Yamaha! There always has to be one i guess. What a bunch of tools.I guess they figure since the R6 did so well in SS,they can start a dynasty against nobodies.I wonder if Bostrom and Disalvo are on board with them.

"It's also believed that the American distributors of three of the four Japanese companies will be involved and that they'll choose not to homologate, or offer a contingency program, for the Daytona Motorsports Group-run AMA Superbike Championship. Yamaha has pledged to take part in the DMG series."

Get Ducati signed up,see if BMW wants to play and see if KTM would like to get started with their new litre bike.I think they will need more than 2 classes unless both classes run double headers.Throw in the 450 Supersingles and lets go racing

Awesome yes AWESOME!!

DMG and friends have ruined car racing in the US and now hopefully will see it stop with the bikes! We were about to get a 2 wheeled Daytona Protype next year IE the ugliest slowest racing car in the world.

I hope they can emulate the WSB/WSS format. Get some great riders and tv. I will be watching and attending.

I missed that. I was going off the faq. My bad.

And I'm not impressed with Yamaha backing DMG. They pulled out of Superbike and pretty much set up the current cherry-picking class structure. Anthony Gobert wouldn't be a homeless heroin bum if not for Yamaha...

This is the end...the end my friend, the end...

This is just depressing. Sure, DMG underestimated the American distributors ability to truly shut down and choke this whole show, but what is proposed by MIC is just a controlled marketing gimmick to sell bikes. Sorry, private race team owners need not appy, because the technology cannot be bought and neither can a factory racing bike. Not the way the distributors want the rules to be written. Michael Jordan...take your team and your ideas and desires and just shove it. Corona Honda - fugggetabout it. Kevin Erion and Chuck Graves...why do you do what you do? Steady check? Because ultimately, you will have no place in the MIC FACTORIES ONLY SERIES.

Gawd....and the irony is that these guys can talk all they want about their unlimited technology development #########, but that really doesn't make for great racing. Just ask 90% of the racing series that exist in the world. Just ask Formula 1. And it is not the direction that WSB is going to go either, boys.

Here's a noose, Mel. Chair is over there. I think you know how this works.

Oh and live internet video too please. I watch the Speed feeds and it annoys me to no end to not see a live pass, and to have laps cut from the race to show those passes when the commercial is over.
