Congratulations to Helio Castroneves on winning the Chicagoland Motor Speedway race. Photo finish, even had wrong driver in victory lane. Also, congratulations to Scott Dixon on winning the IRL championship.

This could have been different. You know, the race could have ended because of rain with Milka Duno in the lead.

Congrats to Scott, and his incredibly HOT wife (thank you ABC for the great coverage of her).

I think that congratulations also need to go out to Power, Viso, Rahal, Moraes, Tags and Wilson who all drove a heck of a race and gave us a glimpse of what next year will bring with these guys now having experience and their teams having the off season to do even more development work. Nice job on the part of all the "transition" teams/drivers this year as they did a heck of a job given the last minute nature of this deal.

I know I'm not alone in saying that, while things are not where they need to be yet, for the first time in a long time I look towards this silly season and on to next year with excitement at what the future of this sport holds.
