That's more than Danica led all season in an AGR car. gulp

Where's all the Milka fanboys proclaiming her the next big thing? LOL

BTW, Milka didn't run too bad today.

I'm just wondering why haven't all the Milka haters showed up to tell us that the five laps aren't legit because she didn't make an on track pass and only got the lead because she stayed out when everyone pitted.

I was actually laughing about that during the race.......... maybe it was a going away present?

Completely unfounded rumor I heard was that she was getting cut off........ no idea if that is legit or completely wishful thinking.

She actually wasn't completely horrendous today! I was impressed.......... for her.

Duno leading her first five laps is certainly a milestone for her. I only offer my best wishes for Duno despite any concerns that I have verbalized previously (which still remain). There is no need to start partisan muckracking based upon this solitary occurence. In my humble opinion, it would have been far more noteworthy for her [Duno] to capture her first top-10 finish... but leading her first laps was likely deemed the best opportunity by the team/driver.

Further, this has absolutely nothing to do with Patrick... or Fisher... or any other driver for that matter. To be candid... if AGR's desire was to have Patrick simply lead laps at the expense of final position... they have had more than ample opportunity at Nashville, Richmond, Iowa and Chicagoland (among others) to do so... but they didn't. Instead they [Patrick/AGR] secured two 5th place finishes, two 6th place finishes, and a top-10 on their way to a career best 6th place in the final season standings. The same can be said of Fisher (if you insist on making female driver comparisons) who's strategy was focused on top-10 finishes and not leading laps. The results may not reflect Fisher's speed... but she was certainly capable of multiple top-10s in 2008 with a little better luck.

In conclusion, while I am not a fan of Duno... there is no need to panic because she led five laps. Best wishes to Duno regardless. That may have been the last we see of her in an ICS car anyway... as D&R;is rumored to be going in another direction (a la SAMAX at the end of 2007). Rice has already secured a primary sponsor for 2009 and Bell/D&R;has lined up multiple sponsors.

Of course, that strategy screwed her because she ended up being just about the only person to make a green-flag stop in the entire race... but she still did OK, especially considering how lame Rice did.

I don't think it was that rice was necessarily lame as Graham was trying to avoid his teammate and rice got collected. Unfortunate for Rice and Graham but Justin was fine!

Danica made a green flag stop near the end of the race.

Those green flag stops cost both drivers. I was impressed Danica managed to salvage 10th after that yellow came out. I thought she was totally screwed.

And good for Milka to lead a few laps. It's a statistical anomoly. But, it's always good experience to be the rabbit once in a while. It's the only way you're gonna learn. As long as she held her line and let the faster cars around her. Hopefully it was a parting gift, and maybe EJ will have the Citgo sponsorship next year.

Buddy got a raw deal. But that's gonna happen when three cars are going for the same spot. Although it's Graham's fault, it's hard to lay too much blame on him. He was just trying to avoid his teammate, and in that split second you can't know where everyone is at on the pit lane. This wasn't like Briscoe trying to race Danica out of the pits and getting the rear end loose. I hope Buddy didn't bust up his HANS device when he threw it down in front of the NHL pits!

I'm surprised no one has accused Buddy of throwing a tantrum. Surely there should be multiple threads on this subject. I guess it all comes down to driver preference. sick

I know I was like, "Wha? Milkas leading?" I was bummed to see Sarah Fisher go out like she did.
