Is this a joke? Why don't they just do time trial like bicycle race? Not allow any contacts, not allow to fight for position! Woo...that is so exciting?!?!?! Shame on the race stewards! Investigate them for corruptions!

The penalty was fair. You can't go by what happened after the incident. (Kimi crashing) If you noticed, Hamilton kept the racing line when allowing Kimi to re-pass him. He also kept his speed up so he could pull back in right on Kimi's gear box. This threw Kimi off line for the next corner, allowing Hamilton to keep an advantage. If you're going to allow someone to re-pass you, you slow down, move over and let them pass. Lewis tried to manipulate Kimi's re-taking. He should have been penalized. He was! Good job stewards.
And, so what if Kimi pushed him off course. Hamilton uses that move as well, pushing people off course. Everyone does. Hamilton didn't have the pass. Kimi didn't have to give him room.

Once again, Ferrari makes the rules! I don't know why anyone even gets on the course since the stewards will decide that Ferr. will win anyway.

lewis clearly won.lets just not have any other cars on the track except ferrari as its obvious only they are allowed to win and break the rules.we need an investigation into the FIA and their bias.we also need mclaren to appeal.

McLaren should say FU to F1! Notice every decision goes Ferrari's way? What a BS call!

Those of you who are complaining that Hamilton should have been black flagged or that he gained an advantage clearly have no understanding of either the rule book or driving a race car.
The rules state that if you gain an advantage you must give the position back. Upon exiting the corner Hamilton was NOT in front of Kimi so there was no way that Hamilton could "give the position back" Also, Kimi had the advantage at that point because the line he was on exiting the corner was giving him greater momentum. Further, Hamilton did back off most likely because Kimi was cutting hard to driver's left running Hamilton off of the race track. Then Hamilton fell behind Kimi one full car length (one car length is measured from the nose of the first car to the rear of the first car so nose to tail is one car length) and pulled along side of Kimi on driver's right and made the pass.
All of this also completely ignores the fact that Kimi ran into the side of Hamilton in the chicane which put Hamilton in the position of riding the curb and possibly taking them both out or exiting the corner from the run off area. In other words if it was not for the contact initiated by Kimi, Hamilton would never have had to be in the run off area to begin with. Had the contact hot taken place Hamilton would have had the clear advantage going into the second apex of the chicane.
This entire incident was initiated by and clearly advantaged Kimi. If any one wants to argue other wise it's evidence that you have no understanding of the rules or how energy is conserved from behind the wheel of a race car.
Now, outside of the rules I would further argue that if a team and driver have only 3 laps to respond to an issued penalty during the race (Heiki's incident with Webber) then the officials have only 1 lap to issue the penalty. If you as a race director can not make a call in that amount of time or at least issue a warning to the team that a call is pending and will be issued in the course of the second lap you have no business even being in race control let alone determining the outcome of a F1 Grand Prix.
As for those who think that there is some sort of conspiracy by FIA officials against Ferrari you need to take stop drinking the Ferrari cool aid. For instance, through the Stepnygate incident the FIA became aware that earlier in the season last year Ferrari was utilizing a moving ground plane yet they did nothing. Instead they used the evidence of such obtained via McLaren to penalize McLaren. If there is any conspiracy of favoring one particular team on pit lane over the others it is Ferrari that is enjoying the advantage of said conspiracy.
The FIA should be thanking Hamilton for making a race of it not penalizing him for something he was forced into by the actions of another driver.

What a crock of you know what in F1. A Ferrari basically drives Lewis Hamilton him off the track and then Hamilton gets penalized for doing the right thing which then gives the win to the other Ferrari tightening up the championship in the process? Ridiculous doesn't even come close to aptly describing the decision and the call puts F1 on the same credibility level as the WWE.
