ESPN bought the rights to all of the Cup stuff they can fit into their schedule, why can't they show the Cup qualifying? As for the Trucks, I know I am all alone here on this forum, but i like the Truck Series, better than the Cup/Busch Nation crap. And since SPEED does have an exclusive deal for the series, and the notion that it gets better ratings than ALMS on Speed...[/quote
But to some of us, racing a truck makes even less sense than racing some of the cars featured in Cup racing. A truck is a work vehicle, no more and no less. And yeah, it gets better racing. Just don't ask me why. The races are no more than crash fests; I don't identify or aspire to own a truck; and, in case the point wasn't made trucks are work vehicles and nothing else. Where is the sports value in a work vehicle?

NCTS takes coverage away from the Petit LeMans that is just wrong. This race deserves better coverage especially considering the competition this year, could be one of the best yet.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the Speed TV forum after all. Seems to me he is complaining to Speed.

Crash fests? That's the Koni Challenge Series. LOL.
As for work vehicle-v-sports vehicles... a Camry or Fusion was never compared to a muscle car in the real world, that's what NASCAR has become, some kind of automotive bizarro world.
But now that NASCAR has bought out Grand Am, are the Porsche 997, Pontiac G6, Corvette and Mazda RX8 all going to have the same template-shape body? Thats what enquiring minds want to know.

The cost of laying all the cable to cover a race, much less a road race where vantage points aren't built in but must be from lifts, is alarming. For a channel to put that much effort into setting up to do the race and the personnel and just go blank for hours tells me they have more money than a small country or have something else funding this effort. I don't know which it is, but it's a lot of money to leave lay.

Hmm? SPEED doesn't produce the race coverage, they just air it. IIRC (emphasis on the "if"), Wheeler Productions produces the ALMS race telecasts. SPEED just airs them, presumably according to the contract they have with the ALMS.
