Why is it excessive? Do you think the series waits 5 laps after everything is done just to take up more time?

That safety car for the Ford GT lasted way too long. They didn't really show what was going on so there is no way to know what the holdup was but it really was excessive.
It's not ALMS. It's a track that's difficult tor race on, difficult to get to, and difficult for marshals to work on when an accident occurs or a car is stalled on track.

I already did but I'll try again... It should not take that long to clear a disabled car with no debris or trackside damage. Regardless of why it took so long, it was excessive.
