ok here is a chance of a lifetime for any indycar owner! We all know that Tracy is a free agent and this in:
Carpentier says he's a free agent: Canadian #10-Patrick Carpentier says “It’s over,” at the end of the year, after his one season with Dodge car owners Ray Evernham and George Gillett. “They hired Reed Sorenson for next year, so it’s over,” Carpentier says. “They’re working on a fourth team and looking for sponsorship, but you know how that goes.” So Carpentier says he’s a free agent. “I’m talking with other teams to see what’s out there,” the Montreal native says.(Winston Salem Journal), see earlier information about Carpentier on my #10 team page.(8-29-2008) Comment here

How I miss Player's sponsorship in AOW....Imagine a 4 car Player's team of PT,Carpentier,Tags and Ranger....Player's was the only company that really gave a #### about Canadian driver's.....It's quite sad no other company can step up and sponsor some good maple leaf driver's...

As much as i am an open wheel fan , i am really finding it hard to watch the races this year (and no not bashing the irl)
I know they had to come together , but too bad it wasnt in a lola with the cosworth .
The best looking open wheel car IMO and safest .

Players were one of the best sponsors for Canadian OWR, but it all went up in smoke!
Amazing how many "great" drivers wore the "Players" colors over the years. Awh, those were the days when real butt kicking took place!

Putting Mr. Tracy or Mr. Carpentier will make certain fans happy. But, it is not going to benefit the IRL one iota.

The temperature here is a moderate 71F and the sky is clear. IMO, YOU should take your head out of your butt and enjoy some fresh air, too. And, I suppose Tony George, your leader, was just going in circles when he helped Walker and Tracy race in Edmonton by supplying a car? I bet that put a few IOTAS in the IRL's pocket!
It's comments and narrow-minded thinking like yours that make many of us who actually like and support AOWR think we are wasting our time, and hoping that new and upcoming drivers will follow to make the racing better. Those Canadian consumers may actually start to get interested in AOWR again, and tell me how many IOTAS that might be worth to the IRL. Of course, Michael Andretti invested in the Toronto race next year, and let's see if Tracy can help Mr. Andretti with a few IOTAS.
You see, I sit here and review today's practice times and know that after all is said and done, not one driver picked up a single point today. If, and just if, Tracy was there the attendance would have increased (Yes, we do allow those Canadian fans to cross over the Ambassador Bridge, or even through the tunnel) and this forum would be hopping with even more and more excitement, and yes, relevant topics. There would be some excitement in the air. And, there would be many IOTAS floating around benefitting the IRL. But, you don't get it, do you? Your comments stink, and that's mostly because of where your head is stuck.

Don't ever question my support of American Open Wheel racing. My very first Indy Car race that I attended was in 1956 at The Milwaukee Mile. And, the very next year, 1957, I attended my very first Indianapolis 500. And, I have been a supporter of American Open Wheel racing ever since.
Supporter of American Open Wheel Racing? My brother and I owned a KurtisKraft midget powered with a Chevy II engine. We raced out of Joliet, IL Memorial Stadium back in the 1960s.

Your comment was foolish, it doesn't matter if you have been a fan for 1 day or 100 years.

Fortunately, Patrick did not have a towel in her possession or the confrontation could have deteriorated into one of the great towel-offs in sports history.

You're exactly right, neither Tracy or Carpentier bring
anything to the table anymore.
Tracy's only hope for the future is Indy one-off's
I feel the most viable & marketable Canadian still out there
is Villenueve,, but not with the state of the present IRL.
However, even JV couldn't muster any NASCAR sponsorship.
The key to much of this is the next IRL car/engine formula
but based on history TG will botch both...
