Dave,
If you could, would you please say a word on air tonite about Paul Newman. He's recently been closing in on his departure from this earth and I think it would be fitting if we could all keep him in ours minds. Thanks.

Paul Newman is a great guy. I meet him a few times in the last 5 years at Road Atlanta when he was doing SCCA Nationals. He wanted to be very low key and if you did not make it a big deal he was Paul Newman he was happy to talk. Very humble, seemed like he enjoyed being treated like a regular guy. He was also fast! Then you add in all the money he has raised for charity. Just a good guy.

I got to meet Paul Newman while I had relatives living in Westport Conn. He was polite and friendly. I meet him at the Ben and Jerry's and he recommended the Cherry Garcia which he had a scoop of. When I said that was a great idea he ordered a scoop for me.

Just a personal note on Mr.Newman
I meet Mr. Newman in the early 80's at Riverside Raceway while racing SCCA with my dad He was a class act and a awesome competitor
He was always friendly and always had time to talk even to young kid standing there staring at his top dollar equipment which at the time was a C Production 280Z.
He is and was a true racers racer.
My time spent near and around him will never be forgoten.
