Any ideas on the ticket availability for the Indy Race? One friend of mine is going with his wife and I was considering going with them but not sure about getting the time off to attend. May consider going myself though so I may need a ticket.
Any others coming from the NJ/NY area?

Are you going to ride the Dragon on your way through NC/TN?
No, the dragon is for squids and suckers that don't know their way around. There are tons of roads down there that are just as good, but aren't as publicized or patrolled.
I still have an extra Penthouse B ticket if anyones interested. Im almost ready to sell it at a loss so pm me with an offer.

Camping Lot 2... stop by for a homebrew or 2!
One Dodge truck with IA plates, one Ford truck with TN plates.

I've got an old silver Acura with IA plates too, look for the DTK banner and come on over!
Cheers mang!

Coming out from E.Washington with three friends.
If you are into good beer, the Broadripple Brew Pub is not to be missed.
Not a NW style IPA but a good one none the less.

WIth over 25,000 people attending, in a procession a mile long, the coffin was placed on a car chassis which was pushed by Alberto Ascari, Luigi Villoresi and Juan Manuel Fangio.

another iowan here.
look for the maroon ford wind(death)star in lot 1b. our seats are in section '14', row 'z' of the 'h' stand...right across from one of them there jumbotron thingies...just after the exit of the final corner onto the front straight.
we scored a sweet deal at the red roof inn across town...$53/night. this was done through their site, not priceline, etc...check it out.

CerinoD.... Thanks for all that info. I'm looking at fares/hotels/cars/tents/taxi's...lifts.......I can't stand it!!! Why is it you have to go thro so many airports for Indy? And it takes flippin' hours if not days? Get on a plane at 7am and fly in at noon.....impossible

No problem, I wish I could be there so bad I'll help anyone get themself there and enjoy it if I can.
I don't know where you'd be flying in from but I always flew in from Philly Pa. direct. The one downside to a nice little airport is it isn't always on major airlines direct flight routes. Only 1 airline flew direct from Philly to Indy.
FYI. I always flew in the night before(Wednesday) in the evening. I would book a small rental car and when I'd get there they'd all be gone so they always upgraded me for the same price to SUV's. Just a travelers tip if anyone can use it.

I'm going to be close to the action again, while all you guys are hanging on the fence or sitting in the bleachers. (At Laguna, I was almost as close to Stoner as Rossi was when he took the detour across the dirt in the Corkscrew.)
And forget the "pit walkabout" because a MotoGP worker vest gets you just about anyplace you want to go.
I'm not sure whether they still need workers, but there's info at
http://www.usarm.org if you're interested. (This isn't a USARM-staffed event; it's USAC, but USARM posted the info as a courtesy.)
Then there are the AMA finals at Laguna at the end of the month....
Seriously, I can't imagine buying tickets when the best seats in the house are only available if you work the race.

I thank all corner workers who work these races butt... how could a person who brings their family to a race have them all in a corner station?
