New Dash Indicators: No Speedometer?

I think a speedometer would be good and it could read off a front wheel. Several problems with the tach method would be overcome. The only problem is that NASCAR doesn't want it, probably over concerns of cheeting.

1) Yes, it could read off a front wheel
2) Yes, they hate electronics and the cheating that could result
