BMX was never my thing, but I have been watching the bicycle races on the velodrome. They've been awesome.

Seriously, that is pretty cool. He was a huge idol of mine back in the BMX ol' skool days. This racing should be great, watch out for Kyle Bennett or Donny Robinson to take gold for US. These guys are hitting 40 mph on the first straight; with legs for pistons and 20 inch tires!

The pursuits are some of the strangest games invented, but very interesting to watch.

Want a good laugh?? Check out this super cheesy clip from the 1986 movie, Rad. Best part are the girls with the big 80's hair. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA63KRWlguk&eurl=http://www.genesbmx.com/2008-bmx-olympics.html

That hair is a lot like modern day Cleveland girls.... no?

Yeah, I knew a few who used to wear their hair like that. I don't know why they ever stopped, I liked it. motoho, why did that style ever go out of fashion??

I'm certain the hairspray required to maintain a hairstyle like that has contributed to the deterioration of the ozone layer and consequently has helped to speed global warming. Mercifully, mall rat hair has gone the way of the mullet.

I've still got my Haro Type II number plate with ABA # circa 1983 in blue to match my blue/white checkered flite padset, which also matched the race day vans....

OK enough reminising, BMX finals tonight!
